Hi! I’m Sophie.
I’m a Lebanese-Belgian-American actor, director and writer who has made a career developing original and devised work that is highly theatrical, musical and multi-disciplinary. As an actor, I’ve originated roles in Lisa Peterson’s Odyssey with The Acting Company, Lisa Loomer’s Side Effects May Include… at CATF, and Novid Parsi’s The Life You Gave Me at BCT. I toured the country in the First Broadway National Tour of The Kite Runner, and I premiered my own solo show, Gilda, with an Olive, at The Exponential Festival in Brooklyn. I’ve directed work at Pan Asian Repertory Theatre, and my play, July, was a semi-finalist for the Eugene O’Neill NPC. I have a BA cum laude in Music from Columbia University, and an MFA in Acting from Brown University/Trinity Repertory Company, where I was a Stephen Sondheim Fellow for two years and awarded the David Wickham Prize in Playwriting upon graduation.
